Agus Umar Yasin

Agus Umar Yasin is a water treatment and specialty chemical professional with more than two decades of experience in
Indonesia and the ASEAN region. He serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Water Association (IdWA) and as a Non-
Governmental Council Member of Indonesia’s National Water Resources Council. He is also a member of the Alliance for Water
Stewardship and the Water Positive Think Tank. Throughout his career, Agus has combined technical expertise in water
treatment, oilfield chemicals, and industrial specialty chemicals with experience in operations, business development, and
regional marketing. He actively promotes sustainable water management, professional capacity building, technology adoption,
and collaboration among government, industry, academia, and water-sector practitioners. Through national and international
forums, he contributes practical Indonesian perspectives on water security, wastewater management, climate resilience, and
responsible water stewardship. Agus is committed to translating policy, innovation, and technical knowledge into implementable
solutions that deliver environmental, social, and economic value.
