Ing Wei Lo

Dr. Wayne Lo is a Senior Researcher at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia, Canada. Throughout his professional career, he has served in government agencies, engineering consulting firms, engineering companies, academia and research organizations, gaining extensive experience in water and wastewater engineering. His expertise includes digital transformation in water treatment systems, biological wastewater treatment, and sewer infrastructure. He also received the Pan Wen Yuan Foundation IoT Innovation Application Award for his contributions to smart water technologies. Dr. Lo has led numerous industrial AI projects, integrating predictive analytics and intelligent decision support into wastewater treatment operations to improve process reliability, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
