Liang-Ming Whang

Dr. LIANG-MING WHANG is a Distinguished Professor of Department of Environmental Engineering at National Cheng Kung University. His research team is mainly interested in development of environmental biotechnology to solve environment-related problems and issues. Currently, there are three major research topics conducted in his laboratory including evaluation of biological treatment performance of full-scale wastewater treatment processes, bioenergy recovery from organic waste treatment processes, and reclaimed water from industrial and municipal wastewater

Professor Whang has received numerous awards, including the Academic Engineering Medal from the Chinese Institute of Environmental Engineering, the Micron Technology Chair Professorship, and the ASE Chair Professorship. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Sustainable Environment Research and is an editorial board member for several international journals.
