Tsair Fuh Lin

Professor Tsair-Fuh Lin is a Chair Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan. After earning his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in 1995, he has held key leadership roles, notably NCKU Vice President for Research and Development and Director of the Tainan Hydraulics Laboratory. His research emphasizes cyanobacterial metabolites in drinking water, novel groundwater remediation techniques, and sustainable development. Dr. Lin has published over 130 refereed papers, holds 14 patents, and successfully executed 23 technology transfers. He is the recipient of numerous accolades, including NSTC Outstanding Research and Future Tech Awards, the TECO Award, the Ho-Chin-Tsui Outstanding Award, and the National Excellent Teacher Award. A Fellow of the International Water Association (IWA) and AAEES Honorary Member, Dr. Lin currently chairs the IWA Specialist Group on Tastes, Odours, and Algal Toxins, and recently served as President of the Chinese Institute of Environmental Engineering (Taiwan).
